The Philippines is located close to the Equator.
There is a humid tropical climate year-round with plenty of rainfall.
The dry season begins in December and ends in May. The weather is
coolest in December and January with the air temperature falling to
around 60 degrees Farenheit. The hottest weather begins in March when
the air temperature rises to as high as 120 degrees. Typhoon season
begins from June to November which often bring floods and rice crop
damage. There are as many as sixteen typhoons hitting the country
every year.In higher elevations, such as Baguio City and Tagaytay
City, the climates are milder with temperatures dropping as low as
40 degrees. It's no surprise to see a hailstorm passing through and
ice crystals form in these areas. |
